The Ladislas Lazaro Papers contain correspondence, clippings, speeches, government publications, and memorandum books recording Lazaro's service as a U.S. Representative. They primarily concern state and local political campaigns, voters and constituents in the 7th Congressional District of Louisiana, agriculture, tariffs, the rice industry, World War I, and the Port of Lake Charles. Daybooks and ledgers document his medical practice in Grand Prairie (1894-1913). Also included are 11 telephone directories for towns and cities in Southwest Louisiana (1924-1926), a city directory for Lake Charles, La. (1925), and two books of Congressional memorial addresses for H. Garland Dupré and Ladislas Lazaro (1925, 1929).

Ladislas Lazaro (June 5, 1872 – March 30, 1927) was an American doctor, plantation owner, and politician. He served as a Democratic U.S. Representative from Louisiana's 7th congressional district from 1913 to 1927. Born near Ville Platte, Evangeline (then St. Landry) Parish, Louisiana, he attended public and private schools and Holy Cross College, New Orleans, Louisiana.
